Feasibility studies/preliminary project
These are the first levels of development of the design process, preparatory to the subsequent steps that will allow the work to be carried out. Specifically, the feasibility study – according to art. 14 of the D.P.R. 207/2010 – is absolutely the first design approach, even before the development of the Preliminary Project. The Preliminary Project, also known as Technical and Economic Feasibility Project (PFTE) – according to paragraph 5 of art. 23 of D.Lgs. 50/2016 – identifies, among several solutions, the one that presents the best relationship between costs and benefits for the community, in relation to the specific needs to be met and services to be provided; it also identifies all the dimensional, volumetric, typological, functional and technological characteristics of the works to be carried out and the related economic estimates.
Studio Santi usually draws up feasibility studies and preliminary projects for large public and private clients, on the basis of which the subsequent design levels are developed.
