The preventive design check is a support service for the Project Manager (RUP) defined by art. 26 of D.Lgs. 50/2016 (Procurement Law). The contracting authority – in the person of the RUP – before approving (or validating) a project, has the obligation to verify the compliance of the project documents with current legislation. For highly complex works – with an amount exceeding the thresholds identified by the Code – the verification activity is carried out by persons with specific experience and a quality management system.
