These are the levels of the design process, subsequent to the preliminary project, which allow the work to be constructed. The Definitive Project – according to paragraph 7 of art. 23 of D.Lgs. 50/2016 – fully identifies the works to be carried out, in compliance with the needs, criteria, constraints, addresses and indications established by the contracting authority and the preliminary project; it also contains all the elements necessary for the purpose of issuing the required authorizations and approvals, as well as the definitive quantification of the expenditure limit for the realization and the relative time schedule. The Executive Project – according to paragraph 8 of art. 23 of D.Lgs. 50/2016 – is drawn up in compliance with the Definitive Project and determines in every detail the work to be carried out, the related expected cost, the time schedule, at a level of definition such that each element is identified in form, type, quality, size and price.
